POSITION SUMMARY

The Technical Director is a senior position responsible for CI representation, leadership, and management of significant multi-million dollar bi-lateral or multi-lateral projects with an award of more than USD 1 million. The Technical Director provides overall leadership management and general technical direction of the entire project, ensuring an integrated vision among different components and stakeholders, and a focus on achieving the results defined in the donor agreement. The position should have a background in fundraising, business skills, environment-productive project management, budgeting, and analysis, should be an excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks, also, needs to be a team player and have a problem-solving aptitude.

This position must identify issues and risks related to project implementation in a timely manner and suggest appropriate adjustments. Serves as the main point of contact for government relations, donor relations, private sector outreach, and all other counterparts and implementing partners. This position requires significant coordination skills, broad general and technical knowledge, experience in developing countries, and skills to ensure coherence and consistency within project deadlines. This position will manage the preparation and presentation of all proposed implementation plans and reports, as well as any other duties required that may arise during the project

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position is based in La Paz, Bolivia. 
  • Frequent travel to the project site and other office locations.
  • Comfortable working out of doors for extended periods.
  • Ability to work extended work hours to meet project deadlines
