Safeguarding Project Advisor (PSHEA)
Location: Costa Rica - Bolivia

Summary of the Position

Under the leadership of the HR/OD Director, you will provide technical support in the implementation of HROD and OD projects to the regional office and assign Member countries in the region in line with the relevant SOS Children’s Villages safeguarding policies and procedures. Will be responsible for ensuring a Safeguarding environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Revision of policies on Safeguarding Principles

Ensure the set-up of a robust reporting and responding environment and capacity building of incident management and investigation.

Support with the roll-out of awareness-raising sessions for leaders.

Support and ensure implementation at the regional level of the Code of Conduct.

Coordinate and ensure implementation and mainstreaming of values-based competencies into the key HR processes at regional and Associations Members

Coordinate and ensure training, implementation, and monitoring of set KPIs

To take a lead in the implementation of the prevention from sexual harassment, explotation and abuse (PSHEA) Policy at the Regional Office level and Association members.

To support the implementation of the Gender Equality Policy in the Regional Office and
Association members.

Requirements:

University degree in social careers.

MSc Human Resources or International law, or Social Science or other degree

A minimum of 5 years of progressive local and global relevant experience (including

designing and/or implementing safeguarding or gender-based violence programs and related initiatives such as training, awareness building, tools, and process development, monitoring, and evaluation; experience in leading and driving the project)

Work experience in virtual collaboration and multicultural team coordination, and facilitation skills are added advantages.

Excellent English and Spanish language skills (oral and written).
